| Will my insurance cover treatment at your office? Believe it or not, this is not a yes/no question. Insurance coverage - even under the same carrier, such as Blue Cross - varies widely from plan to plan and provider to provider. The only way to find out what your coverage REALLY covers with respect to us is for my office to call your insurance company with your policy information. For your information, I am an "in network" provider for the following PPO's : Blue Cross, Aetna, PHCS. I do NOT accept any HMO insurance, and I do NOT accept medicare or medicaid. Are you going to take a million x-rays and tell me that I have to come in 4 times a week for 4 months and then twice a week for the rest of my life? NO. First of all, most cases do not require x-rays. If a case history seems to warrant x-rays, then I take them. Next, there is no such thing as a standard cookie-cutter care plan in my office. Each case is completely unique, and each person has different wellness goals. Some people want to be optimally well in all areas and therefore choose to undergo extensive coaching and care. Some people want simple symptomatic relief of musculoskeletal pain. This is a team process. You tell me what you want, and I help you figure out how to get there. Even it means sending you out to a different chiropractor or referring you to another healing art all together. What kind of chiropractic do you do? Do you do the cracking kind or the soft kind? I use a number of different techniques ranging from "cracking" to light force soft tissue (a technique called Somatics) to advanced depth soft tissue mobilization (motion assisted release technique and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilisation technique) to non-force strapping (Kinisio Taping) and stretching. It depends on the needs (and requests) of the client. I don't have insurance. Do you offer a "cash discount" ? We offer a discounted price if services are paid for in full at the time of service - called a TOS discount. It is not a "cash" discount, because it is also available to patients with insurance if they choose to pay in full at the time of service and then receive reimbursement directly from their insurance company. Credit cards are accepted, and are also valid payment for the TOS discount rate. A higher fee is charged when the office bills insurance companies directly or when a patient chooses to pay for their care in installments. This is due to the very significant administrative cost added when services are not paid for when they are rendered. How much does it cost to receive care at your office? The cost of service depends on the complexity of care and the length of time involved for a service. Prices range from $33 (for a "mini" or "express" service) services to $160 (the hourly rate charged for more involved services.) Please note that nobody who sincerely desires to improve their health is never turned away for financial reasons. We can create a payment plan to suit anyone. Do you offer any sort of frequency or wellness plan? Yes. We also serve individual who want or need ongoing weekly visits. These individuals may simply feel better with weekly visits, whether they are dancers who need ongoing attention and body work, office workers with chronic tension, dentists and dental assistants who are in unusual positions on a daily basis, and individual with chronic diseases like Rheumatoid Arthritis for which ongoing care helps with pain and mobility. The wellness plan is available to anyone on request. The cost is $103 per month and covers weekly visits. To keep accounting to a minimum, the program begins and ends on the first and last day of the month respectively. To keep the wellness plan available, we request a three month minimum (most individuals enjoy the program for years.) What other services do you offer that I normally wouldn't ask about? Besides shoulder, hand, knee, hip, back and neck, Dr. Page has extensive experience working with feet. Plantar fasciitis and common foot fatigue are common foot problems addressed with thorough analysis, soft tissue work and proper support. I really like the soft tissue work you do. Do you do massage also? Yes, but only for the serious. When I do massage, I work in chiropractic adjustments when necessary, stretching, deep tissue, stones, whatever I believe is going to create the most therapeutic benefit to your body. If your session is one hour, and you have a back problem, most of our work is going to be on the areas that influence how the back works, so we may not end up working the hands or feet, etc.. Hour sessions - $95 non reimbursable through insurance Do you offer group discounts for offices dance troupes, etc.. Yes. Students receive a flat rate of $30 per session. Performing artists receive a flat 20% fee reduction on services rendered. Employers or groups can request a service contract discount from Dr. Page, just like the insurance companies. Service contracts allow un-insured or non covered employees a set rate to receive treatment, we just become your companies chiropractic PPO. The company pays for visits for their employees, but at a set or discounted rate. Do you do house-calls or on-site care? On-site care is usually requested by performing arts groups. However, many employers are seeing the benefit of bringing a chiropractor and massage therapist on-site for employees every couple of weeks to reduce the stresses of the workplace. |
